The Master’s programme “Engineering and Business” is conceived as an interdisciplinary programme. The modules cover the entire supply chain – from procurement through to research and development, production, sales and marketing. Particular focus is dedicated to innovation and topics around digitization.
Digitization of products, processes and connectivity via the Internet of things (IoT) present major future opportunities and challenge for companies. In many industries, products and services involve significant software development. Products continuously record data, process it and/or share it with operators or connected devices. Industry 4.0 comprises intelligently networked factories and innovative logistic solutions, among others. In retail, mobile payment, shopping apps, augmented reality are becoming commonplace. Often times, digital transformation does not only affect products and processes, but also the company’s business model.
Graduates of this programme are well positioned to cope with these technologies driven and interdisciplinary challenges.
