Seminar "Foresight-Specialist"

Future skills are becoming a decisive competitive factor: Due to the current dynamic changes and increasing uncertainty in the economy, technology and society, the need for further training on topics such as "Foresight", "Technology and Innovation" and "Change Management" is growing considerably.

The seminar "Foresight-Specialist" provides you with the know-how you need to recognise trends, develop future scenarios, make future knowledge usable and initiate changes in three specialised modules and a project work. In four seminar days you will gain a deep understanding of the entire process of future modelling, innovation design and transformation realisation. The focus here is on case studies and exercises in which you concretise and apply the theoretical basics.

  • Foresight Methods: Trend analysis, scenario technique, future labs, business wargaming, science fiction
  • Technology & Innovation Models: Innovation models, innovation process, technology intelligence, technology assessment
  • Change & Transformation Management: Design of transformation processes in medium-sized companies, success factors of change management, social transformation process design
  • Foresight Project: Modelling scenarios, developing and evaluating options for action, transferring scenarios into consistent corporate planning, agile project management

The focus here is on case studies and exercises in which the participants concretise and apply the theoretical principles.

The seminar "Foresight-Specialist" is aimed at

  •  specialists and executives, staff functions, project leaders in industry and public administration who need foresight competencies in the context of their current work
  •  scientists and academics who would like to use foresight methods in the context of their research activities
  •  students who would like to build up an additional foresight focus in addition to their subject-oriented main course of study
  •  people with an interest in future topics and a desire for further education independent of their specific professional activity

Admission requirements

There are no admission requirements.

The capacity is 20 participants from industry and practice (no previous academic training necessary).

German or English (according to the wishes/requirements of the participants)

ECTS

2 ECTS (60 hours workload incl. group work)

Please note: ECTS can only be awarded if the optional certificate examination for "Foresight-Specialist" (university certificate THI, separate date and additional fees) is taken.

The standard qualification is a certificate of attendance.

1,700 EUR per person

Please note: An additional fee of 350 EUR is payable for taking the optional certificate examination to become a "Foresight Specialist".
