Welcome Professor Dr. Elsbacher

We are pleased to welcome Professor Dr Elsbacher, another new colleague, to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He will be working with us as a research professor for AI-supported aeronautical engineering and product development and will also be contributing his expertise in this field to the AI mobility node.

Professor Dr Elsbacher graduated in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Munich and then completed his doctorate at the Institute for Flexible Automation at the Vienna University of Technology.

His professional career first led him to MBDA (then EADS/LFK-Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH) as a developer in the aerospace industry, where he then also worked for many years as a manager in various positions.

Prior to his appointment at TH Ingolstadt, he was Operations Director and Member of the Executive Board at MBDA Germany, where he was responsible for development, production and quality management. In addition, he held overarching responsibility for the area of digitalisation, skills and improvement in the engineering department of the MBDA Group.
