In October, a representative from THI-InES had the privilege of participating in the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Conference held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The theme of the conference was "Transferring Knowledge from Campus to Society and Economy".
The event presented a great opportunity to delve into discussions on how universities from Germany and Asia can effectively collaborate. The goal is to transform academic research into practical, real-world solutions benefiting not only the local but also the global communities.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation of the 'RE.Act' project, facilitated by THI-InES. RE.Act seeks to stir up innovation and streamline knowledge transfer in the field of renewable energies together with our partner universities in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The conference concluded on a positive note, with participants looking forward to further reinforcing these ties and making impactful contributions through such partnerships.
The success of this conference promises a bright future for teamwork in academic research. It also encourages the use of this research in our everyday lives and in our economies. Indeed, knowledge transfer is not a one-way but a two-way street, as demonstrated by the conference.
