Consultancy
The issues around balancing work/academic studies and family life are often very individual and can often be better clarified in a personal conversation. The following topics, for example, can be covered in a counselling session:
- Curriculum planning in relation to maternity protection and parental leave
- Childcare
- Offers from Ingolstadt University for students and working parents
- Networking of student and working parents at Ingolstadt University

Parent-child workplace
A parent-child office is available for students and employees at THI. The office, located on the 2nd floor of the F building (F 114), is available to all university members with children if their regular childcare should be cancelled and no other childcare is available. This allows parents to bridge a short-term childcare gap while pursuing their academic studies or work. The office can be used without prior registration, but in order to access it, you must register with the Equal Opportunities Officer (gleichstellungsbeauftragte@thi.de). Employees must consult with their supervisor before using the workplace. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children are supervised at all times while they are in the parent-child workplace. Children are not allowed in the office without a supervisor!
